The UK’s only 1000 mile motoring challenge in the style of the “Mille Miglia”

The UK’s only 1000 mile motoring challenge in the style of the “Mille Miglia”

The original Mille Miglia was run on public roads, with a course length of 1000 Roman miles (1500km), in a figure of eight configuration.

Back in 1927 this was a race, but this is not possible nowadays. So we have created the Mille GT to be a modern UK motoring challenge navigated over 1000 miles (1500 KM).

The Mille GT is navigated by a rally style roadbook, using the dedicated Mille GT app – everything you need to take part is included in the app:-
– The digital roadbook
– An accurate trip
– The GPS tracking, for assistance on course and for the scoring.

The route will have refuelling and pit stops marked for breaks and a coffee.

This is a navigation and driving challenge – NOT A SPEED CHALLENGE.

1000 mile roadbook challenge

Well actually, a 1500km digital roadbook to be precise. The event is run through the Mille GT app and your navigation, adherence to speed zones and top speed is monitored by our GPS tracking system.

Split into 10 individual stages

The 1500km route is split into 10 stages, so you can start the Mille GT from any of 10 start locations around the UK.
Each route is individually scored for the challenge.

Drive the stages in your own time!

The Mille GT is run over a four month period and you can do any of the stages in your own time within the four month period.
You can do one route one weekend and carry on the next weekend. You do not have to do the routes in order and you can start at any time of day you like – even 3am if you want to!

Online league table

The scoring for your challenge will be displayed online in the Mille GT League Tables – see how you compare to your friends and fellow drivers.
The participants with the lowest (best) scores will appear in the Overall League table.

Different classes available

There is a class to suit your vehicle:
– Sports and GT
– Modern
– Retro
– Classic
– Motorcycle

Aim for a 'zero hero' award

In the Mille GT Challenge, the lower your score the better. If you score zero for the whole challenge then you will be awarded a “Zero Hero” trophy. Mille GT medals will be awarded to participants as follows:
Gold: Top 5%
Silver: 6 – 10%
Bronze: 11 – 15%
